eADDIE: How Is Instructional Design Different for E-Learning?

The ISD Special Interest Group of the ASTD Metro DC chapter invites you to a second delivery of the virtual session titled “eADDIE: How Is Instructional Design Different for E-Learning.”

Due to technical problems with the Adobe Presenter network, the February 16 delivery of this session ended early, and the session recording was incomplete. We are offering this session again on March 9. The session will be recorded, and the recording will be made available to Metro DC ASTD members.

Session Title: eADDIE: How Is Instructional Design Different for E-Learning?

Date and Time: March 9, 11:45 AM

Presenter: Diane Elkins

Session Description:

Does the ADDIE model apply to e-learning development? In this session, you’ll learn exactly what is the same-and what is different-about using the ADDIE model to create e-learning courses. Whether you are new to e-learning, an experienced developer, or just simply curious about what’s involved, you’ll gain valuable insight into the special ISD considerations required by this electronic medium. In addition, you’ll walk away with checklists and templates to help you throughout the process.

About the Presenter:

Diane Elkins is the co-founder of Alcorn, Ward, & Partners, Inc. where she helps companies get up and running with e-learning. She has built a reputation as a local and national e-learning expert by being a frequent judge for the Brandon Hall Excellence in Learning Awards and by presenting at national conferences such as E-Learning Guild, Training Magazine, and Lectora User’s Conferences. She is the co-author of the E-Learning Uncovered book series which includes books on web-based training design as well as how to use Lectora and Articulate e-learning software. She was named as one of the Top Young Trainers in the country by Training magazine.

About the DC Metro ISD SIG:
